Legendary documentary filmmaker Sam Pollard (MLK/FBI) has once again released a masterpiece. The League is an in-depth film about the rise and dissipation of the Negro Leagues, which were around from the 1850s to the 1950s, producing exceptional talents who would eventually become acclaimed major leaguers, such as Hank Aaron, Willie Mays, Ernie Banks, Roy Campanella, Satchel Paige, and, of course, Jackie Robinson.
